Here's what we do on our date nights

Here are a few of our dates over the years.

Do you have trouble creating and prioritizing date nights?

Kid-sitters, budgets, work schedules and being just plain tired are all barriers to date nights...much less trying to figure out something that you both find interesting and fun!

My homebody, gentle Enneagram 9 self would typically plan a date like this:

- Netflix a heist movie at home

-Torchy's Tacos delivered

-Be asleep by 9:59 pm

My happy-go-lucky, ten-thousand-hobby, Enneagram 7 husband plans dates like this:

-Dinner at that new restaurant

-Hunt for good vinyl at Doc's Records

-Test drive Teslas

-Indoor skydiving

-Second dinner if the first one sucked

-Bourbon tour

-Massage at Woodhouse Spa

-Outdoor skydiving

-Modern Art museum scavenger hunt

-Asleep by 2am...unless we happen to find something else fun to do.

As you can see, our ideal date night varies.  However, this is an area we committed to early on and has been a relationship lynchpin.  We continue to go on dates.

My friends know I am their date hype girl.  I'm asking when they last went out.  I'm looking at their kitchen calendar for open nights and signing them up for Care.com to get a sitter.

I'm your date hype girl too.  It doesn't have to look like any certain thing, as long as you are alone together.  Go have a fun free hike, go have hard conversations over a Michelin star dinner, go sit in silence in a dumb movie.  For goodness sake, have a neighbor kid sit with your children while you run through the Taco Bell drive-through together at 10pm.  JUST GO.

Need some help resuscitating your date nights?  I'VE GOT YOU!  I'll be your personal date night hype girl in my upcoming webinar, which honestly can be a date in and of itself!   No matter your budget, your time, your circumstance, you can do a date night.  I promise!
