Sex education in church and hospitals? Okay!

I'm an educator, born and bred. My parents are both retired high school teachers and if you ask me to build a curriculum I will get abnormally thrilled. Prior to opening my own practice I taught at three different universities and then in a corporate setting. My love of facilitating conversations, especially on vulnerable topics, continues to grow.

The need for education in the field of sexuality is, well... vast. Very, very few of us had a formal, comprehensive education on sex (learning how babies are made in 5th grade health class is not the same as learning how to have sex for pleasure and connection) and yet most of us engage in sexual activity and desire some combination of pleasure and connection within it.

I wanted to give you an example of the ways in which sex education can show up in all kinds of communities and settings. It is marvelous to me how many of these groups are simply small communities of people, willing to get vulnerable and learn more about sex. Most of these events are private, (with the exception of the Velvet Box) but I hope it gets you thinking about how you may be able to get a small group together and benefit from an in-person or virtual (video) educational hour. From Bible studies to sex toy stores...everyone deserves the opportunity to have a great sex education. I'm here to make that happen. So, what can I do for you?
