What do you love?

A love letter to my nails

I love manicures. I have a "place" where I am a regular. I love my nail technician, Lynn, who has identical twin girls too. I have strong, quick-growing nails that I long took for granted. In college, a guy once told me he was attracted to my nails. Not hands, not skin. NAILS.

For me, getting my nails painted by someone else is luxurious and peaceful. (And an absolute privilege.) I like watching Lynn expertly conduct each step of the process. She writes a love sonnet to my hands, each colorful nail a verse.

It is my goal to be one of the ladies who comes in at 85 years old and gets her nails done once a week while her husband sits in the waiting room chair and reads the paper.

I love manicures.

So what do you love? How can you bring more of that into your life?

I'm rooting for you today, to do more of what you love.

If I can help in any way, please let me know.
