How do you define sex?
Just a kind and sweet Friday reminder that you get to define and redefine what behaviors are included in "sex" for you. Catch this: Most of the sex we have is for some combination of sex and pleasure, not reproduction.
However, the most common definition of sex is penis in vagina sex...which is the reproductive model that isn't as pleasurable for clitoris owners.
If most clitoris owners have most of their pleasure through stimulation on the clitoris, and most of the sex we have is for pleasure, doesn't it makes sense that clitoral outercourse, not penetration, would be a better definition of "sex" for a clitoris owner?
Here's where you say: "Yes. Yes it does make sense Celeste."
The reason we STILL define sex as penis going into a vagina is because for thousands of years the only people who had the power and freedom to write about sex, wrote about it from their perspective. And guess what? They ALL OWNED A PENIS.
Let's stop minimizing your pleasurable experiences by saying "Ugh, I can't have an orgasm with "real" sex."
Or
"Real sex hurts so we have to "settle" with outercourse and mutual masturbation."
Buddy, if you are experiencing pleasure and connection, then you are experiencing sex. Sex is not defined by a behavior, but rather an experience. Full stop. The end.
Now whose ready to redefine "sex" based on pleasure and connection?
love,
Celeste
