Here's the picture I almost didn't take
On Leap Day in 2012 I was thirty eight weeks pregnant with twins.
I mistakenly thought I wouldn't want very many pictures of my pregnancy, so this is one of about 5 total. I'm now so grateful I have it to show the girls every year on the day before their birthday. They squeal with delight every time they see it, thinking about which kid was on the top of my uterus (Zoe) and which was in the bottom bunk (Ella). Looking back, I'm so proud of what my body did. Carried twins to 38 weeks, zero complications. Gave birth to a 6 pound and 7 pound healthy babies. Thirteen pounds of babies total!
Damn. I should have taken more pictures.
It's a little, simple thing, but I'm so happy that Nate made me stand in our backyard and expose my beautiful big belly 8 years ago.
Point is, take the pictures.
Play on the floor with the matchbox cars.
Ask him out.
Do the silly voice.
Try the new sex position.
Get the extra kiss.
Eat the food.
Jump in before you are ready.
Take the damn pictures.
With love on Leap Day Weekend.
