Some good things you might have missed this week

Good Friday dear ones!

At the end of this 100 year week, I want to focus on One Good Thing.  This One Good Thing I'm choosing to focus on today is the wins of these seven LGBTQ people in their state legislation.  Did you know that after this election, there will only be three states that have not had openly LGBTQ representation?  (I'm looking at you Alaska, Louisiana and Mississippi.)  Congratulations to this phenomenal group.   As former Houston Mayor says so poignantly, "their presence in the state legislature can dilute the most toxic anti-LGBTQ voices and lead to more inclusive legislation."

She is also a NARAL Pro-Choice Texas Next Generation Fellow. In 2016, she graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a bachelor’s in journalism. Below is her Vimeo which includes a really neat piece about the intersection of twerking, feminism & black culture.
