One Year of The Pleasure Club

And We’re Just Getting Started…

A year ago, I had an idea: what if there was a community where women could learn, laugh, unlearn shame, and yes, read some very spicy books together? I wasn't sure if anyone would show up. You showed up. And what we've built together in the past twelve months has genuinely surprised and delighted me.

One of my favorite things about how we read together is that we practice pendulation. One month we go deep, sitting with something challenging and real, like bell hooks in The Will to Change or untangling attachment in Polysecure. The next month we exhale. We curl up with something delicious and fun, like Lovelight Farms or A Showgirl's Rules for Falling in Love. It turns out that moving between the tender and the playful is its own kind of healing. Your nervous system knows the difference, and so does mine.

What I love most about this community isn't the books. It's what happens in the conversation. Someone says "I thought I was the only one." Everyone is supportive. The Pleasure Club inside jokes...the laughter. (Question: Do you remember how to laugh?) The questions people are finally brave enough to ask out loud. The permission that gets passed around like something holy.

If you've been curious about The Pleasure Club but haven't joined yet, this anniversary feels like exactly the right moment. We're heading into year two with more books, more workshops, and a community that keeps getting richer. Come read with us.
