The gift of ease
Hi friends,
As a solstice birthday lady (June 21!) I dearly love the summer and winter solstice. Tonight, my family and I did our winter solstice celebration in the dark house with only candles lit. We all wrote down something we wanted to leave in the past with the darkness and burned it. We also wrote down something we wanted to grow with the light and tucked them away for safekeeping and manifestation.
I wrote down “the gift of ease.” In 2026 want to give more ease to others (and myself.) I see this as giving patience, ease in conversation, being flexible, giving monetarily to make things easier for someone, making decisions so other's don't have to etc. You can see the theme…I hope.
So, in that vein, this is a very personal ask with a lot of love behind it, and yes, I’m gently calling in the wealthy aunties as well as my own damn self.
One of our original Rogue Women from our very first Rogue Retreat is our dear friend Jenni. She’s a kindergarten teacher at a deeply under-resourced school, where many of her students are carrying far more than any child should. Homelessness. Food insecurity. Loss. Trauma. All before they’re seven.
And still, Jenni shows up every day as a soft place to land. For many of her students, her classroom is the only place they feel safe, warm, or truly seen.
This season, I want to wrap our community around her classroom and help stock it with the things these kids deserve without question, comfort, books, sensory supplies, warmth, and care.
After months of gentle nudging, Jenni made an Amazon wishlist so we could help. If you’re in your wealthy auntie era and able to grab even one item (or a few), it makes a real difference. And if giving isn’t possible right now, sharing her list helps just as much.
I'd love to give you the opportunity to give some ease with me for Jenni and for her students. Thank you for being the kind of community that shows up like this. You are a dream.
There are 23 classroom items left, many under $30. Let's clear this damn thing.
Love,
Celeste
